Many thanks to both of you!

From a parental perspective, it's great to see the many, long hours he's put in lead to some measure of success. I suspect that there are many participants in these message boards who identify with that.

Thanks, again, and all the very best to yours, as well!

The best thing about Woodard besides being a terrific pitcher is he's a great kid with wonderful parents. He's extremely deserving of all the success he's realizing right now. I hope our son, a '06 roommate and freshman pitcher at UNC will learn from this outstanding young man.

I'm thinking that whatever benefits our sons derive from being teammates and (soon) housemates run BOTH ways, glacko!

In any case, the kind words are greatly appreciated...and I'll see you in "Pirateland" this coming weekend!

From an ACC parent, I can appreciate how difficult it is to even be named to the watch list. Relief pitching is NOT an easy task.
Best of luck to your son.

Missed this one earlier. Congrats to Robert and to CW! I know from talking to Robert's dad that a lot of hard work came before this recognition. Glad to see it paying off. Wink

Clayton sorry I didn't see this earlier CONGRATULATIONS to Robert well deserved recognition.

Rick and I were down in Florida enjoying an 8 day baseball trip and I laughed when I went to the hotel laundry and there wasn't a line of ball players and thought of you and how we even enjoyed the time chatting as we tried our hardest to get out that RED clay! Funny how you can miss those days

If you don't enjoy the ride, you will never appreciate the destination.
