from the Penn State website: Penn State once again bounced right back after sophomore catcher Joe Blackburn (Sinking Spring, Pa.) hit his first career home run over the right-center field wall to lead off the third inning.
Don't you just love it?
P S She probably won't see this for a few days ... she hopped on a plane to see him play and he obviously thanked her with his performance.

And it just keeps getting better and better ... as today's story from the PSU site indicates ...
"Sophomore catcher Joe Blackburn (Sinking Spring, Pa.) had a career-high four hits, scored two runs and drove in another ..."
The team lost today, but obviously it wasn't because of Joe ...

Yes, it was one of those weekends that you want to treasure because you don't know when something like THAT will happen again! Thanks for your well wishes. As luck would have it, the snow on Thursday put the Philly airport in a mess so I was late taking off on Friday morning, and missed my connection in Charlotte. Therefore I was in the air when Joe hit his homerun and didn't actually get to see it. But that's okay...it was a great weekend and I'm glad my "last minute decision" to go was the right one! Thanks again!
