For those of you not familiar with this young man, he is a senior at West Point and a key part of the Black Knights back-to-back NCAA tournament visits. Not to mention he is one of my all time favorite baseball players.

Great story. Jeremy is a wonderful young man who was gracious both years my son played against the Black Knights I called him over Freshman year and introduced myself as a 'HSBBWeb" mom and he immediately was warm and gracious and took a photo with my son. But it seemed both years my photos never came out properly I began to think that West Point had a special electronic zapper to keep people from taking photos because they were the only photos I had trouble with . My son still remarks it was a top highlight of his Collegiate baseball career he was awed playing on the field at West Point.
If you don't enjoy the ride, you will never appreciate the destination.

During the NCAA regionals my son’s team played the Black Knights of Army. I joined Jeremy’s father in the stands and we had a great visit. These young men have a real challenge with academics, military training AND playing baseball. Consider the accomplishments the baseball team had last year and then you can get a glimpse of what type of MEN they are. After the regionals were over, I made a resolution that I would never again cheer against the US Army.

Kudo's are in order for Jeremy and the path he has chosen. I wish him nothing but the best. Hopefully he'll end up at Fort Carson. Only 40 miles away from a home cooked meal.

Thanks all for the kind words...Jeremy finally made it home after an unsheduled stop in Pennsylvania. He had an accident in truck...It was not Ford tough (it's a Dodge). But the good news was, his grandparents just lived 2 1/2 hours away, so he spent part of Christmas with them.
FrankF, we are wishing and hoping too.
Fungo, it WAS a great time down a FSU.
Turn2mom, thanks for the nice words...Jeremy always likes to meet people along the way...he enjoyed talking with you. As you say "If you don't enjoy the ride, you will never appreciate the destination", he enjoys the ride...not just the game.
I'm really interested and motivated to follow Army baseball this year. Are you aware of any discussion boards that are specific to Army? Any other sources of information other than Army's official website? Thanks.

Montana,
I do not know of any discussion boards. I wish there were some. Here is a list of the newspapers that may carry some reports:
NY Times NY Daily News NY Post Bergen (NJ) Record (College Page) Middletown (NY) RecordOnline Pointer View
Also, the Patriot League web site has the current news for each team, however, that usually means the reports from the colleges themselves. They have league stats and comparisons of all the teams. I hope this helps a little.
