Does anyone have any information regarding NAIA schools? How do they compare to NCAA? What are some of the better NAIA baseball schools?

Carolina, I'm certainly not an expert on this subject, but from the research we did on schools, there are some NAIA programs that are stronger than some NCAA programs. It depends on what you're looking for and where.

There are several strong NAIA programs in this area. There's Cumberland College in KY and there's Cumberland University in TN. Both are winning programs. I learned though, that players and families look for different things, so there's a lot of variables depending on what's important to you.

Why don't you narrow things down - location and exactly what you're looking for in a school and I think you'll get more ideas.

NAIA schools can give athletic scholarships whereas NCAA DIIIs do not.

Hey I know this is about a month late and will probably not help you now, but for others wondering about this, in general an NAIA school is about the same level of ball as NCAA DII, as people have mentioned in this post though there are numerous NAIA schools that are stronger then some NCAA DI schools.

Hope this helps anyone who is wondering where they compare to one another

My daughter goes to OCU (Oklahoma City University) and they are the NAIA National Champs in baseball and I am pretty sure that they are always very strong. They also offer lots of academic merit money. Check out their school website at http://www.okcu.edu.

AK - check out this site: NAIA

Did you look up the WUE - I gave you that link before. Don't lose sight of a school that you would want to go to (school has what you want, grades to get in and Cost) if you weren't playing baseball. Also, don't overlook the junior collges. Many fine transfer opportunities after JUCO. (The ACCAC is a fine conference)

NCAA Division IA has better player's in general when comparing to the NAIA. Baseball stat's in the NAIA are frequently tampered with and are made up even to this day wether the NAIA admits it or not. That's why I transfered to NCAA DIV IA.

That is a heavy allegation regarding the NAIA especially with you being a NAIA record holder as stated in your profile
