For those who are unaware, the Clemson Tigers won the ACC tournament on Sunday, for the first time since, I believe, 1992. We northeastern Clemson fans followed the action on Gametracker and agaonized as the Tigers lost a tough battle with Georgia Tech, Saturday afternoon, in a game that went 10 innings and almost 4 hours. The two teams met again that night for a scheduled 9:30pm start. Game didn't start until 10:30 and didn't end until 1:30 in the morning, but TPM's son, DK, got the win in relief. Boys then had to play at 1 in the afternoon and took the title. Atta-boys all around from the north country.
TPM, give a special way to go to Cas...he's a great kid and paid his dues to be there! He's stood in my son's shoes...he knows what he's been through. We are all happy, but not surprised, Cas came out on top.

Way to go Clemson #1 seed!! That said, take it easy on your 1st game, UNC-Asheville. Our boys are so excited and proud to be there, and we are so proud and excited for them!!
The little engine that could, the energizer bunny, these guys are ballers. Hey it could happen!
Thanks all. We are just taking one game at a time.
Catsuremom, I have to say, I don't know what we would have done without Adrian, he is awesome. Not star quality like a Matt Weiters, but excellent at handling the pitching staff and knows the game VERY well. He deserves a lot more than the credit he is not shown. I told his mom that you and I correspond.
Dad04, I think LL got robbed.
02^04, Wow, just dawned on me, your son's team will be the first to face the Tigers . Congrats on making the regionals, and hope they enjoy the weekend. Are you going? We just got back from Jax, so we will hopefully head up next week if all goes well.
KmomNH, Thanks for following the team.
Chariman, No comment. Read it forwards or backwards, no hidden meaning in the sentence.

Thanks. They did beat Troy 2 of 3 and knocked South Alabama out of the Conference tourney. They did better than many expected losing 16 seniors, but not quite enough to lock up a bid. Midweek pitching and the bullpen hurt them. Best of luck to all playing this weekend. There's always next year...

I'm a little late joining this but Wow! what a great post-season run Clemson is having! I see they won games yesterday & today and are currently leading 4-1 in an evening game against MS State. Since my son's school mascot is also a tiger, it's legit to say Go Tigers!!

Congrats to TPM and her son. Got to see part of yesterday's game on TV against **** Roberts and was pleasantly surprised to say to my husband, oh my gosh - his mom is from the baseball web site! What a surprise but a pretty neat one. Congrats on their next step in the road to a CWS victory!
