Does anyone have recent information to share regarding the Hawaiian summer league? In looking over posts that are 4-5 years old, I've learned that:

* Many HCL players have a wonderful time
* Players stay in un-airconditioned dorms
* There are mosquitoes
* All games are played in a Honolulu stadium
* Attendance at games is low
* Season is short (mid-June to late July)

Is this information still correct?

Posts on another website indicate the quality of play may have declined in recent years. Would be interested in hearing more on that.

Any info you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't think they are doing it anymore. I saw a post somewhere else in this forum however, that they were starting one up in florida for the same level player.

Nevermind. I just realized you were talking about a SUMMER league. I was talking about the WINTER league in Hawaii for the pro players. That's what they are starting in fl too. A winter league, not a summer. Sorry.

I have no idea about the Hawaii summer league.
