Son's Coach just notified the kids that there will be now team this year. He is unable to Coach and there is no one to take over. This team was in the MD area where we moved from.

We moved last Summer to the Kansas City area. Since he needs to find a new team anyway we thought it would be nice if he could find a team out here. That way we can set him up with a job as well. He is checking into teams out there as well.

Are there any teams out in this area that are looking for a Catcher still? I know that it is going to be hard to find a team at this time. Not great timing to be notified. Thought that it was going to be a great Summer for him. Now we have to scramble to find him a place to play.

Thanks for any help.

A lot of local college guys play in Ban Johnson league in KC. If you look them up on the internet, they have a list of the coaches for the summer's teams. I would guess you can just email all them and see if there are any openings.

I'll second the Ban Johnson League as a great place for summer baseball.

Will Rogers coaches the KC Blues and is lots of fun. This would be my son's first choice to play just because Will puts so much into it. He's a great guy.

UMB Bank, BJ Raiders and the Royals are usually the top teams.

The All-star game is played at Kauffman stadium. Pretty cool to play on an MLB field.

There's also the MINK league, but more travel is involved.

Good luck!

Thank you both for the info. I will pass it on. Hopefully he can find a team that still has a spot. Either out here or in MD where he has somewhere to stay.
