Well, I don't have one in college but I can't beleive fall semester is just about over.

For those of you whose sons are just beginning the college bb journey, if you think the first semester went quickly, just wait. For us the spring seemed to move quicker than the fall. In fact in a blink of an eye it began and then was over. The fall brings on many challenges, the spring even more. It becomes a greater challenge to be more supportive than ever as a parent.

For all of us that don't adore the NCAA and all of the negative things about it, one thing is certain. It provides an opportunity for our kids to play beyond the HS level in many sports. That in itself makes it a very good thing, IMO. College sport participation has taught my son alot about himself, about priorities and about responsibility and finding out what he really wants for his own life. For that, even though we know how much our kids may be taken advantage of, has provided lessons you can't learn in the classroom.

For those of you who have sons who may be playing their last season, enjoy every moment and put aside all other distractions, because you won't have that last college season to enjoy ever again. Smile

Go Everyone!

Our son Paul will graduate Dec: 15th at Baylor. Paul wll have a major and a minor degree. Not sure if he will return to play pro ball or not. Mom's and Dad's enjoy the baseball now, u can't go back when it is over. It has been a great ride, now we may have to go on without baseball, it will be tough on me, because I will still see it every time I umpire and it will bring back memories. Good Luck to all: Paul's dad Randy
