Div 1 ruling, if player requests transfer to any other Div 1 school with less than two years of eligiblility remaining they have to sit out a year regardless of where they transfer to. I heard that last night.

Is this just in discussion or has this been passed?

If this is so, even more reason to make sure where one will play is the right choice.

.
Is this proposed or passed ?

...and will the landscape change significantly?

...compress the 4 year transfers and the JC transfer into a single eligibility year and you get the "Sophomore Shuffle?"

OB44,
I don't know was wondering what the deal was myself.
I heard that coaches are so sick of players transfering later on in college years. It especially upsets their pitching staff, so they demanded a change.
Wondering if this will change their recruiting habits, being honest with recruits and developing them as players to make contributions later on, not just to fill a seat on the bench.
It works both ways.
