New question, but before I ask....my son has never transferred!!!! We have a situation on our team, and I am just wondering what is correct.

If a player played at at D1 school and was a redshirt his first year, and transferred in Jan. of his second year to another D1 school and plays, but decides to transfer in the fall to another D1 school, does he have to sit out a year or does the redshirt year apply to a situation like this????

That might be a question you'd want to call the NCAA and ask directly. I would THINK that he would have to sit out if school didn't give him a release - that RS wouldn't have anything to do with current situation.
