After being red-shirted as a freshman at Auburn, and a change of schools to Grayson County College in Denison, Texas, the long wait has come to an end. The season opener was yesterday in almost freezing weather.
Son's official first regular season college hit was a bomb!
Makes all of the waiting worthwhile.

My son also played first college game this week-end. He got the starting pitching assignment for the opening day games. Had a no-no thru 4 and got to the 7th and and ran out of gas. Team lost but coaches and teamates were happy with the first outing as was Dad.
Best of luck to all of our sons who are starting their seasons this year. My son had a great start as well. He went 2 for 3 with a double, a walk, a run, an RBI and most of all no errors at second or third.
Here's hoping that all of our guys have a great season.
