Our local university in Victoria, TX just started playing baseball (NAIA) this year and we were lucky enough to get former Astro Terry Puhl as coach. After a great start (9-2), including two no hitters by the same pitcher, Puhl has to leave for a preapproved stint coaching Team Canada in Australia. So who takes his place temporarily? None other than Phil Garner. Bringing in people of this stature really has made Victoria excited about the Jaguars. The school is the University of Houston at Victoria and potential players might want to check it out.
