quote: 1) What is the best way to contact schools that I am interested in? 2) How good a program I should be looking at, last season I was near or at the top of all offensive categories including average and plate appearances while playing CF.
Get the written releases from the current AD and start calling some schools. If there were any schools in the conference you played it and you would consider playing there, be in touch with the coach. Great time to be transferring.

Keep in mind also that your release may preclude you from transferring to a another c school in your conference Also even though in most cases you do not have to sit out a year when you transfer for the first time you may be required to sit out one year if you transfer within your present conference

Be very sure of your decision, and talk to your existing head coach before he hears about it through other channels. Once you decide to transfer and talk to your coach, there is no turning back, so be very certain. If you "put feelers out", the word will be back to your existing coach lickity-split-the grapevine in college baseball is truly amazing. Good luck.
