Anyone know if the TLU baseball team awarded Coach Miller with his 500th win vs Southwestern University today?
I checked both websites and found no news. I also tried to log into the web radio-no success.

Not to take away this Major Milestone if & when it happens, but this brings up a question for discussion. I noticed a couple of games this season are 5 innings, so I would assume a few games each of his previous 14 years were limited to 5. What are the determining factors for complete games being limited to 5 innings. Do the opposing coaches just need to agree prior to the official schedule being published or what other factors apply?

Congratulations to Coach Miller in advance for such a huge accomplishment.

The answer is in.

The 14th-ranked Texas Lutheran Bulldogs gave head baseball coach Bill Miller career victory No. 500 with a 9-3 win over Southwestern University, Monday afternoon at TLU’s Katt-Isbel Field.

Miller, in his 15th year with the Bulldogs, now has a career coaching record of 500-181-2. His .734 winning percentage is the highest of any TLU coach in school history.

applaude

Miller is two wins from tying his mentor, TLU and NAIA Hall of Famer Ray Katt, for the TLU career wins record. Katt retired in 1992 after recording 502 career victories.
