Thanks Orlando & LadyNmom! Orlando--yes, he heard from Coach Rapaglia right away. I see Aeden is also off to a great start at GA State! I went to the baseball homepage and found him featured after hitting a dinger on the weekend. Drew said they emailed during the fall season & that Aeden was loving it at GA. Congrats to him to. BTW--did you know Lance Painter is the new pitching coach for the Mariner's A team in Appleton WI? Appleton is close enough for us to get down there for a couple of games this summer.

RHPMom ... Just one word ... WOW !!!!! Very very impressive outings for your son and his teammates. Know you are smiling ear to ear.

Got to see the season opening weekend, Julie, and Aeden's first D1 hit, a triple against GA Tech (and no, the LFer didn't break a leg on the way to the ball ) He's rounding second, and while he's being clever enough to see the fielder hadn't played it off the wall well, I'm yelling "Are you crazy? You're a catcher!" Next trip will be early April, and I can't wait. He's had the last two Cover Boy pics on the GSU website, so Mommy's pleased.

Donna, what a good son, hitting the triple when mom was there! Oh, I love the Cover Boy part! He sure looks good in the blue catcher's gear: http://www2.gsu.edu/~wwwath/baseball/index.htm...although I do recall him doing a darn good job as the other half of the pitch/catch battery! Julie

RHPMom, I wish your son & his Trinity (Texas) team great success during the Regional run & beyond. Now that our HSU run is over, I wanted to mention D-Ruck took a hard-luck loss in a midweek game at Trinity this season. We platooned our staff w/ my son getting 1 inning of work (the 3rd). Trinity threw Horn the complete game while your son's team was aiming for the 30th win of the season. I couldn't make the trip, but while at work, did monitor Gametracker & listen on the radio. After my son got 2 quick outs, a couple hits later, he allowed the 1st run of the game. That run proved to be enough for him to take a loss on the chin for his team & Horn take Trinity to their 30th. My son did however give a great radio interview and gave credit to the Trinity hitters. He stated: quote: I left a couple pitches up and you can't do that to a high caliber team as Trinity.
D-Ruck sandwiched that 1 inning of work loss with 8 straight conference starts & 8 straight conference & conference tournament wins. Needless to say, he got over it. Funny thing about baseball. Somedays you got it, somedays you don't. Again, congratulations for your son and I will keep reading about a successful Trinity season as it continues.
