Are you looking for instruction or looking at by college coaches?
We went to the summer session. My thought was that we had had all this before. This was for hitting and outfielding, not pitching. We did have contact by several college coaches afterward. We went to a big showcase with (supposedly) a lot of college coaches,etc.,etc. We have yet to hear from one.
So, if pure instruction. You may be better off to go to an instructor. If both or to just get seen, then yes it would be good. The coaches are directly working with the boys and see their makeup as well as their talent.
My 2 cents. Hope it helps.

Tim, Never been to the summer camp, but the "complaint" about the Winter Camp is that it all about the pitching LOL! Understandably being inside it is easier to evaluate a pitcher rather than a SS.

The Winter session did draw some interest form coaches for what its worth.

yes,our son has been to the summer and winter camps. The camp is definitely for pitchers, or at least that's who the coaches and scouts are looking at.There is very little done for catchers: Some blocking in a corner, no throwing practice. The boys do some batting practice and go to differnt sessions about colleges, drugs, etc. Pretty well organized, although too many kids. We will go again anyway, hoping someone needs a good catcher!

Our Son went to both their Winter and Summer camps. He is a Catcher. During the recruiting process their name came up alot as to where some of the Coaches had seen him. The school he just signed with never went there though. It is really for the Pitcher's. Most Showcase's are. In the Summer the Catcher's get to do Pop times and run the 60's.

If he had not signed this week he would of done it again. HTH

Oh and they do post on their site I believe who will be there ot who has been there in the past. Use that list to get in contact with School's in advance. That gets them looking at you if you are not a Pitcher or even if you are !

Jerry Wargo runs a top notch camp. If you go to the website, it is a Who's Who of Maryland players. Don't be afraid to get there early and introduce yourself to Jerry. My oldest was at the camp three times. May fly my younger one back to Maryland just to attend this camp.

Winter camp is definately a must go for pitchers
Jerry Wargo runs a quality showcase. Lots of college and pro scouts. Used to be an all around event when it was held at Episcopal
High school field house in Virginia. Now at Arrundale High School and is very crowded.
