I'm treading lightly here, because I know a thread about him went sideways previously, but now that colleges are starting back up, does anyone know where Kyle Long ended up? I'm guessing he's in school somewhere, but really have no clue and maybe he's taking more time off. If he's in school, is he playing baseball (or even football)? Just wondering

I believe he'll be playing football at UVA in '10

I thought he was eligible this year, but now that you mention it, I haven't heard anything about him playing this year.

Does he have to sit out following his transfer, even though he was in another sport at FSU?

Paulus didn't have to.

I believe Paulus graduated from Duke is now a graduate student at Syracuse...would that change the rules for him? I know he completed his basketball eligibility and is using his fifth year of sports eligibility to play football, so I'm not sure his situation would be governed by the typical transfer rules. At least that's my understanding of the Paulus situation. Maybe the NCAA just felt sorry for Syracuse football....

I heard mention that because the transfer was in-conference, he had to sit out even though it was a different sport. Not sure if that is true. The more likely scenario is that he couldn't gain acceptance to UVA without shoring up his grades at Piedmont CC first. I think the plan is to join football team in January...in time for spring football
