So none of these guys except Brett Walker have offers. I would think that all of them should have something on the table by now based on how high there are ranked. Does anybody know if Ryan Pond is going to play football, baseball or both in college?

I would think that discussing recruitment, offers and/or choices is the business of each young mans' family and the institutions involved. Not really appropriate for an open forum such as this. You never know who drops in. If you are a student/athlete with value (acedimics/talent/ability) you will have opportunities to choose from. Not all commitments are concluded in the Fall. Maturation has its own time table. There are several Tidewater players that will make "spring" decisions. Maybe more than ever before.

LSUTiger, I agree with you, I just hadn't heard anything. I look forward to the spring too see where all these young men go and play. All of them are good enough to play D-1 baseball. Maybe ODU can keep some of them close to home!

Doc: I don't know how many times you have seen Aaron Mania pitch, obviously not very many times. He is a terrific LHP. He may not have shown very well at Kempsville the last couple of years, but I believe you will see a different pitcher when he walks on the mound for Cox this year. The environment will be much better there. I'm not taking anything away from Bret Walker, he is terrific as well, but your insinuation that there is something wrong with the rankings just because Mania is ranked higher on the LHP rankings than Walker is on the RHP rankings is wrong.
The "bunt" is a powerful weapon!

One thing to consider, there are alot more RHP than LHP out there getting ranked. To be in the top 200 RHP is SUPER !!! And also, top 100 LHP as well. Mania is a solid pitcher with room to grow at the next level. Brett is the same. Both should have solid seasons as long as they can get some run support.

We will see if it was the atmosphere at Kempsville orif it was Mania that was the problem. I think he's at best a D3 pitcher. There's a shoph LHP at Kellam named Sean Ray that I'd rate ahead of Mania and I can name at least 4 or 5 young guns that show more talent and not as big a head.

Doc, sounds like you have issues... Time given can be time used. Thr boy had a great fall withe the D'Rays. We'll see in May what comes to light. Jones and Renfrow bolted and what happened Doc? The Kellam "Chiefs" did OK, right??? Ray has a chance to be very good. JV is over though, now it is vs. the big boys. Good luck to him.

Jones is the real thing and would make any team a contender. Renfrow is on the move again, he left ODU. if I recall he had issues about pitching time at Kellam. The grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence. These kids must learn that they can't just pick up and go to another HS school when things aren't going the way they think they should.
