Landstown 3 Ocean Lakes 1

Cameron Day provided the offense with a 2-run blast
and an RBI single.

Kyle Lawhorn fanned 10 allowing the 1 run on three hits.

The defense was solid with the infield fielding 10
groundball outs in as many attempts.

I know OL came in on a hot-streak and fielded a very capable team; this was a big win for the Eagles to say the least. (I think this was the first win vs the Dolphins in more than four years)

I hear there was an upset tody; or could it be a team everyone thought would be there is starting to play up to it's potential?

Landstown 3b had an error but don't think it hurt them..

Cameron Day is what OL's problem was today.. the kid can definately hit..

still was a great game and OL had a chance to tie it in the bottom of the 6th with runners on 2nd and 3rd..

however this Day was landstowns Day..

I assume this was on Halls ball in the 4th: Not sure of the ruling; error (which I think it was as recorded in the book) or OL first hit of the game (I was given him (Hall)a hit).

3B Comes up clean on the short hop; it should of been an out. Hall was left stranded at 1st; so nothing hurt.

Who was your pitcher? He pitched very good; even though I think the strike zone was a little generous today, but fair as it was called both ways like that.

Yes I was referring to the ball the Pat Hall hit. I am not sure how it was scored. I suppose it could of been ruled either way.

The first pitcher for OL was Frankie Lewis, and I am with you he pitched a heckuva game, 1 mistake giving Cameron a fastball that he could drive.

from where I was standing couldn't really tell about the strike zone.

I was also really impressed with the play of our Freshman catcher. He was really getting a workout back there and even caught a few runners.

Good game for the Falcons today, but they can still play better. Junior, Richie Salter, pitched a great game and Ryan Mattes (also a junior) closed the deal in the 7th. I thought PA's Dylan Hudson pitched a much better game than the box score indicates. Kept the ball down in the zone, spotted very well, but got unlucky on a few infield hits.

From Hamptonroads.com

Cox 4, Princess Anne 1

Richie Salter and Ryan Mattes combined for a four-hitter as the Falcons dealt the No. 1 Cavaliers (9-2, 6-1) their first Beach District loss Tuesday.

Salter registered 10 strikeouts in six innings and Mattes notched the save for Cox (5-7, 4-4).

Cox 110 200 x — 4 10 2
W—Salter (2-2). L—Hudson (2-1).
