Lynnhaven Baseball's 4th of July Tournament starts tonight at Trant Field with two good games:

6pm - Lynnhaven vs Post 113
8:30pm - Western Branch vs Post 204

All four teams have alot of talented kids from the local area.

Having been involved now with different baseball venues,(because of my son's)I know that these events can escalate in costs.I recently purchased a box of Pony baseball's and have not used nor plan to.Are donations being accepted and if so to whom? With so much local talent it would seem any donations given would benefit friends as well as your own children?I understand that there is a opportunity for the Pony team to go all the way to Puerto Rico,as they have in the past.

Sure we would take the baseballs, we are welcoming all donations to helps these guys out. Billy or Jerry will be at the field this evening starting around 4:30. We have built a pretty strong squad of players, these young men have the talent to take them to the World Series again this year which will be played in California. We are also taking a group of 18U to maryland for the NABF qualifier for the NABF World series in Jackson Ms. All depends on which way the ball lands. We have a full schedule starting tonight and running through Sunday evening at Trant Field.
