Private school standout--Lansing Veeder at PVI. He has broken into the starting lineup of this nationally ranked, senior-laden team. Very good senior, junior, and sophomore players (kids who likely would start on many HS teams and who, next year, will be getting Div I looks) are behind this kid. Great arm. Very good bat. Very good speed. The next several years will be interesting to see if he develops further and into a major pro/Div I talent.

Lake Braddock Freshman, Kenny Towns hit a 3-run homer against South County Wednesday night. All four of these freshman mentioned in this thread played on the same 14u travel team last year, the Virginia Mavericks.

VA Mavericks were/are a good team. I think they have a frosh playing at James Madison and one at Oakton. There may be more than that, too.

They will be better this year as they consolidate with an elite Maryland team and play a competitive tournament schedule around the eastern half of the U.S.

They played all over last year as well. I don't know about better, but will still be a very good team.

Joe and John McGillicuddy have pitched some quality innings in tight situations for Woodson

Has anyone seen Trav Clark from T.C. Williams? He started for them behind the plate as a freshman and played for the Virginia Nationals this summer. Seems like a quiet kid but has plus arm, great swing and what looks like 2.00 pop time. Coaches may be trying to turn him into middle infielder. Looks like a keeper.

No need to wait to see if Lansing Veeder develops into a Div I talent. He is already there, playing for the North Canes in top DYNAMIC and IMPACT tournaments at a level above many Div I signees. He will play ACC or SEC ball, in all likelihood.

Where is Cesar Wong playing...is he still at NDA given all the turmoil there? Looked like a quality young player when I saw him as a freshman two years ago.

If I heard correctly, you will find Cesar at Mercersburg Academy (PA). He is a terrific young man, and a great talent. He played hurt most of last spring, and was a very important piece of the NDA team.

Veeder is a great player and was a solid contributor on PVI's team this past year. Not sure if he'll end up being a outfielder or infielder at the next level.
