Cox upended a very tough Kellam team 8-4 behind a complete game from junior Ryan Mattes and two solo HR's from Austin Erb. Drew Wilkinson came up with big hits twice with bases loaded. Again, the Cox defense played well behind Mattes. Still, Kellam is definitely the surprise of the Beach District this year. They are very young, hit well, and are aggressive at the plate. Any makeup games yesterday?

I know Ocean Lakes defeated First Colonial on Friday by a score of 6-5. OL had some opportunities to expand on their lead but FC stepped up the defense to keep it close until the end.

Ocean Lakes also defeated Tallwood on Saturday by a score of 6-1.

Looks like Princess Anne is on a role,is this a surprise? Great Bridge lost to Hickory,and I am not sure either team looked that impressive in the field or at bat? Ward did a good job with his speed,so did Great Bridge. GB was very impressive at third.Are events shaping-up for a Princess Anne v. Western Branch showdown at the end of the season?Would that be a good match?
