Just wondering how some of our more experienced scorekeepers would score this:

- Ground ball to F6
- Throw to first is in plenty of time but to the home plate side of first base, pulling him off the bag.
- F3 receives the throw and tags the runner before he gets to the base
- But as the tag is made, the contact causes the ball to pop out of F3's glove, and the runner is safe.

Who would you give the error to -- F6 or F3?

I'd have to see the play but I'd go E6 on the throw.

That was my thought originally -- but I changed my mind and went with E3. My thinking was that on a play at any other base where a tag is required, if the player has the ball in his glove, and the tag makes it pop out of the glove, then it's that fielder's error.
