Broke ground today on our new school building. At the end of basketball season in February, our gym will be torn down. Therefore, I have no where to practice when it rains. I can have my pitchers throw bullpens in the hallway of the school building, and work on rundowns and bunting. Other than that, you guys have any ideas on things I can do? What do you guys do as for as classroom meetings and "chalk talks"?

Coach, are you in a rural setting at all? If so, isn't there a player or two that might have a pole barn? If so, move a hitting cage there and have the players sign a "Hold Harmless Agreement" with the owner of the property.

Coach when you say rainy day you talking about a day where it is downpouring or just a day where it's too wet to get on the field?

I agree with Coach B25 that if you can get a barn and hang some nets up and / or mounds then do it. But if your talking about just not being able to get on the field then go in the parking lot. Get the yellow dimple balls and take some groundballs / flyballs.

I doubt you will be able to hit (maybe take BP with the indoor gym balls) but you should be able to work on some fundamentals.
