I am at a new school and I am looking for team building ideas to do with our guys over our spring trip.
One that I've done before w/ my teams and students is to have them tape a sheet of paper to their back, then have every other player/student write the nicest thing you could say on their backs. When your finished, you take the paper off of your back and you have 20-25 great comments about you. This has always worked well for me, but I'm looking to do something different. Any suggestions?
A coach said, whatever you do is a team builder, well sure, but I want the best ones....IDEAS?

There is no greater social event for team and relationship building than going out and eating together or eating at the coaches or a players home. Think business lunches. People are drawn together during meals. We used to always do a pizza thing after spring practices and before the first game. Then a barbeque or meal at someones house during different times of the year. We also did mini-golf outings. Creating a fun and trusting environment will go along way to creating a good team atmosphere.

Sometimes I sits and I thinks, sometimes I just sits.

I don't mean any disrespect here but I bet if you went to a softball site you'd find 100 ideas for this... you could glean thru them and find a few you'd like. The only reason i say this is that i have coached a little HS fastpitch and it is a very social sport where the teams do put a high priority on "bonding". Not making a judgement, just stating a fact as i see it.
