Does anyone film their games and watch them with their teams kind of like coaches do with football teams. I was talking to a coach yesterday that does this. He said he points out defense alignments and baserunning mistakes etc. Sounds like it might be somewhat beneficial.......

We do the above and in fact I actually use the end zone camera that the football team uses. We play on Tuesday and Thursdays so I cut the film Thursday night and we go over it on Friday's. It is amazing what kids don't know or understand and it is amazing what we miss because we are so engrossed in the game. I highly recommend this to anyone who can do it.

It is a huge advantage to have film on a postseason opponent (filmed when we played during the season) to build scouting reports from.

socal: where do you put your camera? behind home I'm guessing but I've tinkeredd with the idea of a platform above 1st base dugout

Trojan: I put it behind Home Plate. I have used the dug outs before but now that I have access to the end zone tripod it is great.

When we film we use two camera's we put one camera behind centerfield fence to mainly get hitters and pitch location. Then we put another camera next to the dugout to get the pitchers from the side and hitters from the side. Good for individual stuff but never used it for actual game footage for positioning.

We film all games from behind home plate. With some big weather coming tomorrow that will force us inside, we filmed our hitters today during off-season workout.

We will watch it tomorrow.
