The recipient of this scholarship MUST by NCAA rules notify compliance when entering school.

It may or may not be used to reduce scholarship $$ awarded by the school student signs for.

TPM,

You bet, as is the case with any scholarship a student may receive from outside the school. Such as Lions Clubs, Rotatry Clubs Scholarship, or any organization that provides funds to students.

Any additional scholarship money has to be reported. Any money given that is awarded for athletic ability CAN be counted against scholarship funded, but any money awarded for anything else (essay, GPA, projects not related to sport) usually is not.

Parents or players don't often realize this. Just wanted to spread the word.
