Hey, Last year I got Nike Pro Shin Guards 17" and I think they are very comfortable and great protection. I want to get Nike Chest Protector, but I haven't gotten around to it. I need 17" chest protector, so you need to go to bplowestprices.com to get that. All Star is a little expensive for me, Nike is around 60 for everything, so I like that.

I bought all my catcher's stuff here Click Here I have the All-Star stuff. I love it. It is a little pricey but I think it was well worth it. -Kevin

Yes, they are, sort of. They are not soft, but not firm either. THey are kind of like tempurpedic material if you have ever felt it. The foam squishes in, and the slowly releases, returning to normal shape. I do like the shoulder caps on those, so I am thinking about buying one off the web, or see if the store will sell me just the cap, because it has lots of cushioning, ande I seem to have a nack for getting foul balls off my shoulder.
