Hey guys,

What is the proper arm slot for a catcher. I hear someguys say bring it rigt to the ear while others say to have the forearm parallel to the ground. What do you guys teach. Also, does anyone have any good videos of catchers throwing.

Thanks

I don't think bringing your hand immediately to your ear is much about arm slot, as it is about speed and quickness to the throw.

Catchers should always be throwing from the 12 oclock position. The explanation is the ball will travel straight to second and sail (which will occur if thrown side arm or three quarters).

Most people let go of the ball when they throw.

Wow, i never noticed he never let go of the ball...he must be pretending to throw at a fan, or player, because he opened up WAY to much...hes facing the dugout, not third base...
