What is a respectable time to college coaches and scouts for catchers on home to 1st, and 60 times thanks.

It has a lot to do with a couple factors. Power hitting catchers can have higher times and might not matter as much. You see a lot of "this guy is a base clogger" written about catchers. Some scouts told us that they don't even pay attention to the catcher 60 times in workouts. However, I believe it has to be within reason, as a > 8.0 speed catcher will also probably have footwork issues behind the plate in his receiving/throwing, IMO.

My son was a 7.4 60 his senior spring season. Over the summer he worked out with a trainer and lowered it to around 6.9 - 7.0 by the end of the summer. I would say his 7.4 speed was average for a high school time, probably upper average for the next level. Now his lower time will only help getting that couple extra base hits.

I don't know what an average home to first time would be for catchers.

Hope this helps, it is all based on our perception.
