I am a senior catcher and I haven't been able to get my pop time under 2.1 latley. My coach says that my feet are slower and that i'm not getting around as quick.
is there anything i can work on or are there any drills i can do to make it quicker and get it under 2.1 to under 2?
thank you

Assuming your arm stength is good and you have thrown sub 2.0 before...Footwork agility drills, exchange out of the glove are good starting points. Don't think power, think quickness and speed of movement. Also, if you are trying to gain too much ground or replacing feet on a jump pivot you'll be slow. Other than that, work.
Don't get too mired down by thinking too much, that'll certainly slow you down.
My son had this problem a couple years ago in a game where all the mechanics were good but just too slow getting there. Just told him not to worry too much about mechanics just move everything quicker but maintain rythmn.
close your frontside and get rid of the ball... react, dont try to be mechanical.... once your front foot lands, it means release now.... also instead of transferring the ball out of your glove out in front, receive it deep and transfer the ball out of your glove at your shoulder.. this will help your times out...
