Is it a stupid idea for catchers to ice their knees after a game. Anyone ever done it? Could it help with soreness or inflammation? Thanks in advance.

I noticed last night during Cleveland's NBA playoff game, Lebron James' was icing his knees after taken out of the game. And, based on the way he played and was walking around, he clearly wasn't hurt. So I assume it was a precaution/prevention approach.

We do short icing on the arm, daily, but not the knees.

Nothing wrong with icing the knees, even in the absence of pain. If icing due to pain, get knees checked out to be sure that there isn't something going on inside the knee.
