I don't know anything about it or if it would work for a catcher or not. I've heard folks talk about thumb injuries on here occasionally and thought if it helps anyone it was worth looking into.

Catch, I don't have any pictures, but I know we had a catcher this year sprain his thumb. Our ATC made him a hard splint. It slid onto the thumb supporting the side of it, but not really like the tip of the thumb too much. This was something he made using like a conformable plastic. Your best bet may be to talk to an athletic trainer or maybe stop by a local Sports Medicine clinic.
