Hello Ladies,

Sorry to enter into your land of pink but I need some laundry help.

I do 95% of the laundry in our house and have been for years. I ran into this problem a couple of times and I know how to avoid it but I need to know how to fix it.

I washed and dried my new dark blue baseball hoody sweatshirt with a pair of gray sweat pants and a new towel. Now I have all these lint dingleberries on my hoody. I tried the lint roller without much help at all.

Now my son tells everyone I have the worst case of dandruff in the world.

HELP!!!

Here are some ideas to try:

1) rub steel wool over the dingleberries and see if they come off

2) buy a sweater comb for pills (the common name for "lint dingleberries")

3) wash and dry it again with clothing that won't leave pills (jeans maybe)

Good luck!

This is what a sweater comb looks like- you'll find it at a fabric store or in a sewing/notions department.

The simplest solution I have found is just to wash the affected item three or four more times - with the appropriate laundry companions - and dry it like normal. Eventually the little hangers-on go away.

Patriot: A little late on this, but here's what I do from time to time. I take one of those plastic Bic razors and carefully shave off those pesky little pills.
