For those of you who have lost your mother's recently, hope you have great memories of your mom to get you through the day. I'm also thinking of Mary Ann's family this weekend.

Have a great day Ladies!

Well Ladies how was your Mothers Day - this was the first time in 5 years we did not have a tournament over Mothers Day. I think we forgot how to celebrate it. lol We BBQ and then the kids took me bowling. That was nice and we had a lot of fun.

What did you do ?????

My hubby and kids took me out for lunch and my sister cooked me dinner. I have a 9 year old and he proudly gave me the poems and books and pictures he had done at school for me. The weather was nice and it was a good day overall!

I spent Sunday at a baseball tournament. My son's been on the DL for the past 8 weeks. This past weekend was the firt tournament he's played since being released by the doctor. He pitched in 2 games, came away with 2 wins and his team won the tournament! On the way home, he said he felt great and had no pain.

Healthy, happy kids are best Mother's Day presents ever!

I got to sleep in, read a magazine - InStyle (even though I'm so OutofStyle, got some good tips) sip on a latte, with my bedroom window open and a cool breeze fluttering the light weight drapes, fresh air, birds a tweeting (hubby even put on our fountain early so I could hear the sound of water - pretended it was a babbeling brook). Oldest son is away at a game in NM, but manages a call (from his bed, I could tell, but leaves me a message that he loves me and HMD!) Younger son and hubby make the best eggs benedict (this is our tradition - go out or eat in, only one thing on the menu). It was perfect, I mean perfect! Then they went out shopping for dinner - grilled up some chicken, veggie kabobs, salad, and roasted corn on the cob with chipotle butter. DEELISH! Tastes so much better when you don't have to plan, shop cook and clean up.
They made a chocolate sheet cake from a box and added chocolate chips - great idea, but they put it in a blender???? (I did not step in) Was a little dry, but hey - that's what the ice cream is for, plus redi-whip! A+ for effort and I really enjoyed watching them fuss over everything, too bad the four of us could not have been together - (older son would have nixed the blender in favor of a beater or the mix-master- he cooks and bakes now)

I had a great day, which I am grateful for because then .....I will spare you.

My son had gootten home from first round of playoffs from fresno at 1am and was exhauted after three games. he slept almost the entire day, and took me to dinner after he was rested. I realaxed all day and enjoyed the weather. We had got home late as well from the tourney so we were all exhausted. Just my son and I went to dinner, it was nice to have one on one time with him.
My daughter lives in San fran and works weekends. shes coming up memorial week and has three days that we can hang out now that my semester of school is over. Yeah!!! very intense. One more semster and I have my bachelors. yeah!!!!
