Okay Moms,

Every time I approach you, you give wonderful advice, sooooo....

This is my sons first high school playoff experience, and I want to treat it as if it might be the only one my son has.

What advice do you experienced mothers have that I can pass on to my son? And what advice do you have for this mom?

Congrats on your sons HS making playoffs! clap

Now the advice I have to offer is tell him to have fun....making memories..... nothing better than that.

As far as you ....prayer, deep breathing, and sometimes pacing are what works for me. Good luck let us know how it goes. Smile

I agree with the other moms! There's no secret advice here - just allow him and yourself to enjoy every minute of the experience. Take lots of pictures!!! Smile

I would like to offer congrats, also!

Like the other moms, I would suggest taking lots of pictures and also keeping a little record (if you don't keep a scorebook) of what teams they played, top players on those teams, etc. It will be fun for him to look back years later and take a trip down memory lane.

And HAVE FUN!!!

I am a very nervous parent only when my son pitches. I have learned that the scorebook is what keeps me into the game and focused. We have scorebooks from back in little league days and you are right, it is fun to go back and see who you played against. Good Luck in the playoffs. Enjoy the ride.

For your son, just for him to enjoy the games. Enjoy the fun with playing the other teams as all will go into his memory bank.

For Mom, my advice is for the bring alongs: twizzlers, pistachios, diet coke. It's fun pulling for all the boys on your team.

And you might want to try and avoid too much caffeine during those games ... wires the system and makes you have to go potty too often ... wouldn't want to miss any of the action.

Congrats to your son and his team ... and have a ton of fun and enjoy the ride.
