Okay Gals - it's almost that time of year again. Last year you gals had some awesome ideas for Christmas so let's get the ideas flowing!
Yesterday I stopped by the video game store and left with visions of Wii, Guitar Hero 3, and Rock Band dancing through my head! The game store told me that they still can't keep the Wii's in stock - call every day and that will be the big Christmas item this year.
Also, Rock Band will be out in November - (Guitar Hero like game but with drums, singing, and two guitars). If you get the whole sheebang - it's $170. If you buy just the game - it's $59. Drums are $79.95!
Doesn't it make you wish for the days when you got the Toys R Us Catalog and the kids circled all the toys they wanted? And the toys were $25? With these teenagers wanting these expensive toys, it sure makes for good planning and fewer presents under the tree...
Any ideas for the kids off at college that will be playing college ball for the first time?
www.everythingbaseballcatalog.com had some fun things that I'm sure you've all seen. Last year I ordered the Rawlings luggage tags and mouse pads. A Rawlings purse is on my Christmas list. Last month we were traveling and saw a man with the tan Rawlings Leather Luggage on Wheels - $567. We complimented the man - he kinda looked at us funny! (Of course I wanted to ask him all about his baseball background but my husband was giving me dirty looks so I just kept quiet.) It's gorgeous!
If Santa has been really really good to your family, go to your Toyota dealership and check out the new Toyota Tundra with the Rawlings package! Our dealership has a white one with the tan Rawlings interior. The leather seats have the red Rawlings logo and the shifter is leather with the baseball stitching. They had had a black one with black leather that lasted less than a day at their location. Our baseball loving family was drooling over that truck!
Okay, I do know we have to trick or treat tomorrow but that Jolly man in the red suit will be here before we know it! It also takes time to get those custom mail order items done.

Oh my! I hadn't looked at that website in a long time -- good thing. It's full of stuff I want! Son is 14. He has been looking on "cars.com". Thinking ahead a bit much! (Like he'd get a car, used or not, as a Christmas gift!?)

I went this past weekend and did a little shopping... and that wasn't my first trip! There was a candle store that had Christmas music playing. I told a friend that I was in heaven!! Many folks aren't ready to begin to think about Christmas or shopping yet at this time of year. Not me.... the sooner, the better!!! I love it!
I'll keep following your thread and perhaps I'll find something to add myself.

Should we send out the search party for Shortstopmama?
She may be lost at Wal-mart, Target, or Hobby Lobby looking for those good deals! Could she have stumbled into the men's lounge (by mistake of course) on the HSBBW and not been let out?
Cute baseball jewelry iheartbb!

Trick or Treat gals!! I have missed you all bunches!! Shortstawpmomma has been in the crazy land called: Baseball-recruiting-football-fog-season.
I am proud to announce that I am officially doing the HAPPY MOMMA DANCE and our football season is over! Sing it with me gals, ..Nah nah nah nah, Nah nah nah nahhhh, Hey hey heeeey,...goood-bye!
Sweet zippidy doo dah,...we can breath again at last!
Wait a minute,.....whats that I hear???? Did someone mention shopping??????? Music in my ears!! Do I hear a little fa-la-la-la-laaaa in the background? I Do I DOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Yippeeee!!!
Guess the ol' holidaze has escaped me a bit. I need to get on the ball. ( no baseball punn intended-ha!)
Is it me or does it seems as though Targey is trying to smush the two holidays ( Christmas and Halloween ) together this year???? The isles are almost intertwined. We've got Mr. Jack-o-lantern hugging a blinkihg red-nosed Rudolph on isle #2. Freaky!
Ideas, ideas, ideas,.....I'm drooling loving the Toyota Tundra with Rawlings package, but not sure I've been that good this year. ( shucks! I swear Santa,...I can explain!- ha!) Just one question though,..why didn't Ford or Chevy think of that??????
I will have to put this chocolate carmel apple down and search my brain a bit,.... In the meantime,..I ALWAYS love your ideas ladies,....always! Please keep them coming. I have missed you all,....alot!

Tip-toeing in...wow...the smell of bayberry candles and baked goods are already in the air, here. I got the gift for the men in your lives (or man in your life)...
I kinda like having a bazillion remotes all over my house, keeps me humble knowing that my 8 year old knows which one goes to which thing and how to use them better than I do......
One of our kids caught my husband playing with the playstation 3 he bought "for the kids" for Christmas. So, the beans were spilled on that one, his excuse for me was that he "had" to play it to make sure it was ok because the "warranty is only good for 30 days".
Sometimes I think I have seven kids instead of 6.....

Here's a gift idea for yourself (my favorite kind!). I received these for Mother's Day after sending a "suggestion" link to my husband! I just bought another set as a Christmas gift for a good friend who is a baseball mom:
good eye,...those are CUTE!!!!! I think Santa must put one or two in my stocking this year, don't you?
Keep those ideas comin' gals!!!!
Ohhh,... and P.S.: Welcome welcome welcome to the HSBBW good eye!

Looks like "Good Eye" has an eye for fun jewelry!! Welcome!!
Here is a link to one of my favorite things - "Barefoot Dreams" products. I have the robe from Oprah's 2003 Favorite Things list and absolutely love it.
This probably wouldn't go over great with any of our "guys"...but if you have family members or GIRLS to buy gifts for...I love this sight. If you click on it, you will find stationery products where you can customize the stationery with "stick figures" doing the activity best indicative of your gift-receiver. Click on the left hand column and hit "stick figures" and you will find even more stationery ideas for people. SEriously, the selection of stick figures is amazing, you can find one doing practically ANY activity. And, you can customize hair color, hair length and style, glasses, etc.
Alrighty gals,...soooo who's stuffed and happy? Did the turkey turn out good?
( I forgot to make the jello this year, but no one seemed to really notice. )
Had a nappie yet today? Dishes all cleaned up?
( I'm on my third piece of pie, but who's counting? )
Just made a fresh pot of evening coffee, and checked the internet sale ads. WOW! I had no idea some of the stores around here are opening at 4 a.m.! At first I thought it was nuts,.....but then after ever so closely browsing and zooming in on this spiffy GPS navigation system ( Usually $299.00 on sale for $129.00 ) I think I may just haveta' reconsider! Cashmere sweaters ( normally $99 ) on sale for $29.00....hello sweet fuzzy wuzzy best friend, come to momma!
I leisurely browsed over to the William Sonoma page. Not sure why exactly but WS and the red Starbuck coffee cups click a trigger in my head that says " The Holidaze " are REALLY finally here!
We had snow yesterday! White fluffy flakes. They didnt stay around long,...just dusted the rooftops and the trees, but it was a great excuse to bring in the wood & make the first fire of the winter. Toasty toasty!
Not sure if I will throw on the ol' cumfie sweats, slip on my running shoes, ( and perhaps tuck in a pair of shopping-crowd boxing gloves )or not tomorrow, but I am intrigued at the whole 4 a.m concept. If you think about it strategically, I could be home by noon with nothing left to do but wrap!
My teen age daughter is jumping up and down saying," Yes, Yes, Yes,..lets go go gooooo, please-please pretty triple-dog pleeeease!!! "
( If I had half her energy, this decison would be an easy one. Oh to be 13 again. )
Happy shopping gals, whether you go out tomorrow, shop on line, or hand make something from the heart. Please let us know about your favorite finds, best bargain deals,....and of course anything baseball-fabuloso'!
On your mark, get set,........go baseball gals gooooooo!!!! The holidays are here! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!

I'd still love to hear ideas from you moms whose boys are already in college. What do they need that we may not think of?? Do they need anything for baseball?
My boys are asking for nothing. I'm thinking graphing calculators. Now doesn't that sound fun!!

I love this stuff....Rawlings "accessories". They also have great luggage pieces...altho PRICEY! As far as a college guy...I got my son the travel/toiletry kit last year for when his team is on the road. I also like the mouse pad and wallet.
I got my son a pendant last year from amazon.com that has baseball with St Christopher on it. He wears it everyday. He wants a remote car starter this year so dad is in charge of that. He would love a flat screen tv like some of the kids have at school but he'll have to make do with the old set he has.
