Doesn't it feel, sometimes, like we were all raised by the same beloved mom? And I heard her in my voice many times when AJ was growing up ... it must be genetic, or infectious

I guess we all say the same things and as kids heard the same things. Thanks TPM, good list for some laughs. I always wonder how people dream these things up.

I can remember very clearly busting out in laughter the first time I said "Because I said so!". I had to call my mom and tell her that I had officially turned into her! I sure miss my mom...I find I'm more like her every day. Sometime when I laugh, I can hear her laugh.

When I was a kid, and went to the movies with my mom, her laugh ... a wonderful boisterous enjoying-it-all kind of laugh ... used to embarass the daylights out of me. And guess what ... yep, you got it ... mine sounds just like hers, too.
When I turned 40 oh so many years ago, hubby gave me a coffee mug with a cartoonish female on it, with the expression: "It's official. I've become my mother." Fortunately Mom thought it was about the age, but hubby and I both know exactly what he meant ... and I had to agree with him.
