Hey all-
What are some good Holiday Music CD's?
We are doing a CD exchange at work. CD's must be Holiday/Christmas music. Thanks!

I love Amy Grant's Home for Christmas album. She has a song on it that makes me cry everytime I hear it. I think it is called Breath of Heaven. Mannheim Steamroller is also a great one. Vince Girhaldi has a little different sound (Charlie Brown Christmas) but is also a nice choice and something different.

Just got Josh Groban's new Christmas CD and I do believe it will become one of my all-time favs! Particularly great are two songs where he duets with Brian Mcnight in one, and Faith Hill in another. Josh Groban has such an amazing voice.

Just listened to the new Josh Groban CD tonight - it agree with you Luvbb - it could become an all-time fav!

Also - agree with BBfan on Amy Grant - it's just not Christmas for me until I put on the Amy Grant Christmas album.

Now for my husband it's not Christmas until we play the Asleep at the Wheel's Christmas Album - we have to hear instead of "Five Golden Rings" - we hear "Five Cans of Beans". Guess you have to be there to appreciate it.

I'm excited - our whole family is going to a Trans Siberian Orchestra concert over the holidays - love their music!

Great idea for a CD exchange party!

Ooooh! Trans Siberian Orchestra. That is my 11 yo son's favorite. He actually listens to that one year round. I forgot about it because he's locked it in his room somewhere! I love Christmas!!!

Great suggestions!
The best thing about this exchange is that one guy has offered to collect all cd's and burn copies for us all, we will all end up with a complete collection (probably over 20 cd's) so looking for a wide range. Thanks to all.

This is a real oldie and I know some people on here might not be familiar with the duo but I have always loved the Christmas album (available on CD) by the Carpenters. We have the vinyl, also bought the audio tape, and I have the CD. 14

Kathy, I will pick that up this weekend! Your musical taste is so similar to mine, I'm sure I'll enjoy it too!

Emmy Lou Harris' Light of the Stable is terrific.

James Taylor's At Chritmas is a nice twist on Christmas songs.

If you want something unusual, The Roches' album, We Three Kings, is really great. If you have itunes, give it a listen.

I have an obsessive Christmas music collection, so if you want more suggestions, let me know, I can come up with a lot of different styles of Christmas music.

P&CMOM-
I would love to get more titles from you.
Do you know of any Reggae or Mulit cultural unusual or something unexpected or even chilish?
One section of our employment staff is in the age range of 16-24 so I would like to include that age group as well. Thanks so much!
