A first for our family ... hubby and I are going to the Rose Parade in Pasadena on New Year's Day.

Don't know what will be shown on TV but if you look real closely at some of the viewer stands ... try to find the chubby cheeked short-haired blond wearing a blue coat and aa black muffler with penguins on it ... that would be moi. If I see a camera looking my way, I will wave.

Anybody else going to be there?

H-mom---

Oh, pooh, I will miss you on TV as I will be heading out that way (to Phoenix, actually) on New Year's Day to visit my family---will miss both the parade (hey, I did the Macy's Thanksgiving parade live and in person this year!) AND the Rose Bowl (bummer---we are Michigan fans!) in transit this year. You have a wonderful time!!

My mom and dad did the Rose Bowl Parade once many moons ago---they LOVED it! Stop and smell the roses for us! Enjoy!

Is this heaven?...

Karen

My Dad was given a ticket to the Rose Bowl game one year and found himself in the infamous
"Card Section"...
All he wanted to do was watch the game but the woman he was sitting next to kept elbowing him in the ribs...screaming the color card he was supposed to be holding up...calling him stupid and demanding he "get with the program!"
duel

Highlandermom,

I'm envious you'll be experiencing the Rose Bowl Parade!!!! Take pity on us here in the Philly area as we are always subjected to the never-ending "Mummer's Parade"! Frown If I have to hear "Oh them golden slippers" played by men wearing a multitude of feathers and doing the Mummer's strut one more time! pull_hair I always hope for a strong wind storm the day of the parade because the only thing entertaining to me is watching them try not be be airborne in their feathered costumes!
