.....anyone else having a player home for the summer? Know many will be playing summer ball elsewhere.....but hopefully you will get to spend some time with them.....

I've taken advantage of all the steak sales at the grocery store; my freezer is full....I've purchased "MLB Extra Innings" for the widescreen HDTV.....stocked up on guy DVD's......pantry full of Gatorade once again.....and power bars......think I've thought of it all.....

....now for next Wednesday to just get here! He was bringing 2 friends...football players.....but now only one.....and friend not arriving for a few weeks....so.....gives us time to empty the freezer....and re-stock....

Mine should be home the end of next week. I'm going up Thursday night after work and we'll get packed up to return home on Friday.

He's taking his girlfriend who is a HS senior to her prom on that Saturday. Here's hoping that the tux is somewhere close to fitting!

LadyNMom - I know you haven't been able to see B. since he left at Christmas and will be very grateful to have him home! I'll be praying for very uneventful travels!

Son's team made the play-offs, and ta-daa, were ranked 12 in the nation in the latest JUCO poll. Pretty exciting. And about time since they had the same record as the #1 team all year...in the same division. Ended up one game back. And if they can topple the #1 team in the play-offs, they'll be in the World Series last week of May.

Result: still don't know how to plan to go pick up his stuff...can't fit it all in his car.

His only concern is playing time since it has been limited due to on-going injury. Logistics of getting home hasn't even crossed his mind.

Looking forward to his coming home...but I'll be at the games next weekend...
And due to plans with the doc as soon as the season is over...this year, his season is over. First summer since he was five that he won't have games.
