First let me explain that I’m no baseball coach although I did coach a little baseball. If my son were to call asking me a question about baseball I would refer him to a knowledgeable baseball person. You know, someone having some success in that area. Having said that let me explain another situation. Son called the other evening wanting to ask his mother a question about cooking. She went into this long explanation about how to do this, how to do that, using culinary words like dash, colander, sauté and such. My question.... Why do I have to stay within my limits in MY area and she’s allowed to appear as an expert in hers???? This ain’t fair! Fungo

Well, Fungo - why do you not think G. is an expert in her area!?!?!! I would imagine she's probably put together some pretty good meals over the years in that fancy house of yours!
Exactly what was Josh wanting to learn to cook?

With those buzzwords being tossed around, I would guess that your wife is much more of an "expert" in this area than I am. Does she have a video coming out anytime soon?

Hey fungo, you can have him call me for advice. While my wife does the day to day cooking, when it comes to the fancy meals, I'm the gourmet executive chef around this place. (and my waistline shows it)

Fungo....I may get in trouble for this one...but I think it takes more "expertise" to play baseball than it does to cook.....I don't do either well...so this is just a guess on my part....

I think you have received your answers ... and besides, many of the distaff posters here can boast that they are the "World's Foremost Authority (on everything)" ...

LadyNMom - I couldn't agree with you more!!! I can handle the kitchen just fine (when I'm in the mood!), but playing that wonderful game takes a lot more skill than the kitchen requires!!!
