A bus with 40 to 50 students (boys and girls) from a school in my area was returning from a basketball game last night and ended up in an single vehicle accident in very heavy fog. Most of the students were taken to area hospitals with moderate injuries. Accidents happen so fast and I am sure all of your kids, like mine, are on school buses often traveling to and from games. All of the kids should be ok, but this is very scary to think about.

Prayers going to Louisiana for these students and their families, coaches, etc. Praise that it appears ... at this point ... that no one was seriously injured.

I always felt edgy when son was on a long bus ride during his high school and college days. And so thankful that these accidents are not frequent.

I am always on edge everytime my son gets on a school bus to travel. His football team has had to play in Baton Rouge twice this year and will be traveling to Baton Rouge again Friday night for the 2nd round of the state playoffs. They have to cross an 18 mile bridge over the Atchafalaya Basin Swamp, then cross the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge. Oh, and I hate bridges, but of course I cross them to watch my son play.

The latest update on the bus accident is that all of the kids will be ok. Thank you Lord!
