We have the Hope scholarship in Georgia. It's funded by the lottery. All you have to do is graduate from a Georgia high school with a 3.0 GPA or better.

will be available to anyone who has been in the Kalamazoo schools for at least four years at the time of graduation. The amounts will be dispensed on a sliding scale, with those who have been enrolled since kindergarten getting 100 percent of their tuition covered.
Actually many southern states are are active statewide in free tuition like izzismom states. My home state of Tennessee also has the HOPE scholarship program. To qualify a graduating high-school senior must have a 3.0 grade point average or score a 21 on the ACT in order to receive up to $3,300 in scholarship funds per academic year. Once in college, students must maintain a B average.

For the scholarships and free tuition, do any of you know whether a Canadian citizen would be eligible for any of these? Or would you have to go through HS in that state to be eligible for those scholarships?
thanks in advance
