I am in MI, in a very little city that probably no one knows of, Hazel Park. it is only 2 sq. miles big, and being surrounded by bigger cities, like Troy, and Royal Oak, that everyone knows, How do you get your school noticed, so that maybe a scout or 2 might come and take a look?? I have been playing fed travel ball for 2 yrs, and they say that scouts are looking at some of these tournments, but how do you ever know?? Just my thoughts. Thanks for any info.

You need to go to them--travel team, showcases, pro tryouts etc==they cant come to you in the spring as they are playing their own schedules

It's very simple. For the players that are playing on elite travel teams they will get alot of chances in showcase tournaments to show their abilities. For those players that aren't playing on top travel teams in the summer, then you must seek out the best showcase clinics all around the country. Go to Florida and if your good they'll find you.

Sory it took me so long to get back to you, forgot about the site. LOLOL my email is PqqkieTurner@msn.com
My son is a senior at HP high this year, graduates in June 07. He is 6ft. 1in. about 180 lbs, and is a utility player that bats both way. and pitches some. He has played Fed. travel for 3 yrs now, but seems the coaches are just out there to show off their kids. We played at the Mayor's inv. in Battle Creek this year, and the coach actually put his kid in with a broken wrist. Then only told 2 other boys about a showcase they were going to attend. Now all 3 have offers to schools, and the rest of the team is out. sorry stuff like that bothers me. Anyways, if you want more info about my son let me know. Oh, a name might help. James C. "Derrick" Turner. ( 8th gen. James, so we call him Derrick and most of the school knows him as Derrick. Well, again sorry took so long. and thanks for any info, or any leads you can give me.

Your son really needs to market himself. Look up schools he's interested in attending and make contact with their coaches. Most schools will offer holiday camps which is a great way for the coaches to see him perform.

They have a lot of coach's e-mail addresses on this website.

You could try e-mailing them.
