gamer I saw that you are going to Bethel. I am a 98 alum. I hope you enjoy it. Coach Zartman and I were RA's together. He is a great guy that will work your tail off. Good luck. Let me know if I can help you in any way.

mengle- I am looking forward to my time at Bethel. I dont know if you have been up to see it latley, but the campus is beautiful, great baseball facilities, and the baseball diamond has been coming along nicely. What school do you coach for? Are any of your seniors going anywhere for college? good luck on the upcoming season

I coach at Westview small 2A. About 45 minutes from Bethel. I have not been in the new baseball facility, but I did walk around the new stadium. The field has always been great.

I have several players that are weighing their options. I have a junior that Seth will be watching.

hey gamer7.... I talked with the Riley guys. They're real tired of indoor practice, they want outside. There was snow on the ground this morning.... when will it ever end. It's the North, not much you can do with it. Haven't seen any preseason polls yet. First games are less than a month away. We're all praying for warmer weather. The SB Tribune reported on Bethel's Spring Break games last week. Wasn't to bad, they played .500 ball. Depending on the competition, that's probably pretty good. I think they play tomorrow, here,to cold to play now. Anyway, you ready for the season?? Good luck, Play hard!

I tried to sort of keep of with their SB tourney, the teams they were playing were definitly quality teams. Warner Southern (who hosted the tourney) is preseason #4 in the NAIA. Also, most of the teams they played were from the south and already had 15-20 games under their belts. I haven't talked to any of the coaches yet, but noticed they got a few great games from some people they wern't expecting it from this early in their careers. I hope they get their first home game in tomorrow, I will be attending their second home game which is against Goshen Sat March 13. I am very excited for the season to start. I juss got out of suregery a couple days ago getting my wisdon teeth out, I'm sort of frustrated right now not being able to do everything up to speed.

mengle- Good luck to you and your team, I hope your junior has a great year and becomes joins the Bethel program. Tell him if he ever wants any info or anything on why I signed with them he can contact me via this site, or email

I hope it starts heating up!!

Hey gamer7... don't worry, you'll be back on your feet before you know it. If I see Andy B. I'll tell him your coming up for the game on the 13th. I just don't see him much. He's consumed right now trying to get ready for the season. Talked with his Dad... they're going twice a day, and he takes the seniors to batting practice on Sat's. Plus I know he works on Sundays. Everyone wants to get outside... the weather is bad, cold and snowy. I don't think Bethel is playing today, maybe if it breaks 40 degrees out there.
