4a - Brownsburg 3a - New Palestine 2a - Northwestern 1a - Lafayette Central catholic I know preseason doesn't guarantee anything but it was nice to see some Northern teams get some 4a consideration. Lake Central,Penn,LaPorte,FW Snider,and Elk Memorial. I even noticed that Chesterton and Merrillville got mentioned. The Duneland Conf is a tough conf with Lake Central and LaPorte being the cream of the crop. Penn will own the NIC again, right syncmaster955???...... that's if they get some pitching!

The best team from the south this year is the Jennings county panthers.....they return 7 starters and one of the top 3 pitchers in the state.......they will be a force when june rolls around!

Anyone else on this form play from a 1a school like me? Also if your a school from the north, do you play a school in the south? and How far south? i play for North Daviess High School we are located in the south near Washington,IN. We're just a 1a school but we are pretty good. also if you to the people that reply to this leave your high school name and team record as of late. 2-1 North Daviess lost to Sullivan(3a) 15 to 10.

Penn looked horrible against LaPorte, but they will still win the NIC and be rated in the top 5 by "sectional' time. Stines is a good pitcher, but they need someone else in the mix. Weeks pitched well for LaPorte but didn't overpower anyone. They will meet again in the Regionals.
