Some of you may have read my other review in the Strength and Conditioning forum for Jon's Unbreakable Abs program, if not I suggest you take a look. Besides that little intro, and what I'm about to say, I won't mention UA inside this review ever again. After using UA for about a month, the results I have earned are truly rediculous. I can sit on pitches for longer periods of time and still hit the ball, which has helped me judge what is being thrown at me, and also in taking pitches the other way on the outside part of the plate. I felt so good about what Jon had presented in his program, that I decided to invest in Million Dollar Hitter for this offseason before I begin to play varsity baseball. I might not post again in this topic for about a week, but that is because I will be looking over the DVDs, the bonus CD, and the book very carefully before I begin, and using this websites PM system, to contact Jon, a very under rated feature. I expect nothing but the best based on prior experience with Jon's products, but regardless of that I will be giving a non-biased review telling nothing but the way I see things and if I am making progress with this program. I will begin to follow this program to a T in the next two weeks.

I just got done reading and watching everything, and I will most likely be ready to go by next week, but I'm definitely shooting for tomorrow. I now realize why when people ask that those who have ordered the program don't go into too much or any detail because someone could very easily give away 15-20% of the program in a simple lapse in judgement by typing or saying something they were not supposed to.

Tonight I started to do the first very basic drill with my brother who is 12. So far we both suck, and our baseball specific vision is rediculously terrible based on this first test. I say baseball specific because my eyesight is 20/15 without glasses and his is 20/20 with glasses. We will continue with this drill tomorrow. I will begin hitting consistently on Friday at 5:30 in the morning. I can't wait.

I haven't had a chance to do much because all of our schools gyms and indoor facilities are booked for fall and winter sports. This is really making me mad as I would like to perform the program on a consistent basis to give an honest review, but that's not an option right now. I might end up staking my claim at a 5 to 6 AM block of time in one of the gyms every morning.

I decided my brother wasn't able to really begin the program yet because his swing has so many mechanical flaws that there are more important things that need to be done right now for him.

I started hitting today. After completing all the drills with restricted vision I noticed it was much easier for me to focus on the ball.

I am curious about this hitting system.

How many dvd's are included?
How long are the dvd's?
How many drills are there?
How complex are the drills?
Are the drills mainly individual drills or can they be used in a team environment?

Appreciate the help. Thanks.

There are two DVDs, I'm unsure of the length off the top of my head, but I sat down and watched them multiple times in one night before beginning the program. There are about 15-20 drills, all of which are very easy to learn. Chances are, you have done 75-90% of these before. If you have enough of the necessary equipment (you probably do), then using these drills or the entire program in a team environment shouldn't be a problem, however when I do the drills it is almost always with only one partner.

I've been doing the drills for 3-4 days a week in the short days that are left. I now have the ability to focus in on the ball and say to myself that I need to hit the middle or top half of the ball and my vision allows me to do so with near pinpoint accuracy. I'm also learning how to hit the outside pitches much better. I have finally completed week 1.

Unfortunately, I don't really have the time to do the program in full and give it an honest review, so I may try and start over some time soon.

Now that the season is winding down I have more time to practice like I used to, so I will again begin to do the Million Dollar Hitter program, but this time I will be able to use consistency. My goals are by the end of the 12 weeks to have earlier recognition of off speed pitches, especially changeups and sliders, I have started to hit curveballs better with more practice. When using the batting cage in my backyard I was able to get the Jugs machine up to 92 MPH before I lost the ability to turn on pitches consistently, but I think that is more of a power issue than a vision problem.

Spent about an hour hitting. I started to get frustrated with some pitches and began to rush things until I realized I needed to calm down. Today was not as much about performance as creating a starting point.

I somewhat Suspicious about this thread. Being able to "sit on a pitch" naturally involves core strength. However, it requires so much more. I wouldn't want to call it technique per se but rather the ability to use the kenetic chain efficently. I'm sure there are several posters that can speak to this.

I just wrote as how I felt it. I have found it easier this year to hit pitches that go faster because I can get around on them faster, I wasn't really thinking about all the other factors that could have improved over the course of the year.

As for the review, today I was pretty sore when I hit in the cage and my swing was pretty slow because I was still tired. I'm going to rest for today and tonight so I will be ready to go for our playoff game tomorrow. I would call consistency for this program 5-6 days a week, which does not include live hitting, added cage work, and live hitting.

Hit again today, and I will now start keeping track of the weeks into the program I am at (today starts week 1). I was hitting very well until I popped a blood blister all over my bat handle and after I fixed it with some tape my hitting struggled a little bit, but other than that I had a good day.

No hitting today, will hit tomorrow morning though. Instead I chose to do the drills that came with the set in the CD. Next week I will also begin lifting weights again. I'm not sure whether I am going to post that in here or in the strength and conditioning section, but that stuff will be done as well.

I hit again today this morning, but I really need to get another batting glove for my left hand, because the blisters bleed so bad by the end of the session that the cuts I am taking are so low quality it isn't worth doing.

Why are you continually getting blisters ?---at this time of the season your hands should be toughened.

If you are getting blisters and they are that bad you need a properly fitting glove.

This is no difference in your finger rubbing on the inside of the glove than your bare finger rubbing on the grip. Gloves sounds too loose.

All practice swings should be of the highest quality. Once the quality goes out the window continuing to swing will only cause harm to your swing mechanics.

I have always got blisters, my skin is very soft and without batting gloves I have always had problems. I had my gloves today though and nothing happened. I think someone interpreted what I said incorrectly though, I have never got blisters on my hands when I wear batting gloves unless the material is wearing thin, it always happens when my bare hands are rubbing on the grip.

I hit again today, the blisters stopped and I'm not having any more problems with that, however I have found that even though the quality of my swings increased this time, I have an issue with "topping" the ball. That is going to be a goal of mine to fix in the next few weeks.
