I was just looking at pictures of the Vanderbilt teams over the past few yrs on www.vanderbilt.edu (they use Demarini bats), and everyone was using either a Voodoo or Vexxum. Not 1 picture showed anyone using the CF3. Maybe there is your answer....

my son has used both. The cf3 has incredible pop, it just takes about 500-750 swings to break in. After the break in period it is much better . Got good balance , too. Just another opinion.

I just found an article on rivals.com that indicated Coach Corbin of Vanderbilt refused to allow his team to use composite bats, based on his views that they can become illegally hot and are generally bad for the game. I applaud his efforts to help get composite barrels banned from college baseball.

Look at the College World Series...hardly saw any composites. Most major DI schools dont even bother with them. Was actually down at Vandy this summer and saw the same thing. Composite barrel bats have been BANNED for 2010 in DI, if not on all levels of the NCAA
