I buy many instructional videos, I am sure like many of you. I came across a pretty good one on Ebay called, "Hitting With a Pro." I thought the instruction was easy to understand and apply. I just have to get my son to watch it, because he won't listen to me anymore. Can anyone relate? Either way, here is the website www.baseballpros.net if anyone is interested. Merry Christmas.

The time will come when he will sit down and watch it--give him time--don't push him

what age is he?

Looks like another good video for my library

I give hitting lessons, I own many videos and have used many different drills to teach hitting. The bible of hitting videos is "Do We Teach What We Really See" by Mike Epstein. Check out his website at mikeepsteinhitting.com. It's by far the best and the only hitting drills I use, I've had nothing but outstanding results from the basic drills he uses. The key is to do his drills over and over. Sometimes the player gets bored with the drills, but it will pay dividends. I wish I had stumbled upon the video a long time ago.

I just bought two more videos from these guys, "Pitch Right" and "Ultimate Infield". Both are excellent. My son is really enjoying them and learning as well! It had to be major league guys or he wouldn't watch it. Teenagers!

Does Ultimate Infield cover double play skills and drills?

I am looking for a good tape/DVD that has individual drills for middle infield double play skills and drills.

I also do hitting instruction and will second the Epstein tapes. They have been the bible for me. I use those tapes as the core to my instruction and have produced solid results.

Ultimate infield doesn't have double play drills, but the teaching and instruction are execellent. Perry Hill is regarded as the best infield instructor in the game today.

A great video for catchers is the one by Rob McDonald, the current head coach at Murray State. I'm not for sure on the name of the video and it's about 10 years old. I know most college coaches and several high school coaches use it as the catching bible. I had a friend that's a high school coach and he called Coach McDonald at Murray State and got the video.

I had the dvd until it got stepped on and destroyed ;(

the info was top notch, but the production was not as good as the Rob McDonald video. This dvd was filmed at an indoor baseball facility where Dave Weaver gave instruction and had a couple of catchers of various ages show what he was teaching. Almost like me taking my camcorder to a local facility. But, as I said, the info was top notch.

The McDonald video is filmed at a college baseball field, more polished, and great info as well.

Alot of similar info, and some things that are different (i.e. McDonald advocates the glove pushing the arm back on the throw to 2nd, while Dave believes that will turn the shoulders too much, so he says to pull the ball back with the throwing arm).

either way, you'll get good info...

Has anyone else seen any of the videos from Baseball Pros? If so, any comments? Does anyone else think they are good as I do? Just curious.

I have seen them around, but have not viewed any of their videos. I am looking for a solid pitching video and an infield video that covers double play skills and drills.
